Newlywed couple Clayton Cook and wife Brittany Cook were having the best day when they experienced something unexpected making their wedding day even more spectacular and memorable. The couple Kitchener, Canada was posing for post-wedding photos shot by photographer Darren Hatt, when Cook noticed a boy submerged in a nearby river. Without hesitation or talking to anyone about it, the groom ran and jumped into the river to save the boy. Thankfully, the groom’s act of kindness was successful and the boy came out well and alive. “His face was underwater and he was fighting, like he was really fighting,” Cook told CTV.
“Almost as soon as I realized what was going on, he had already saved the day,” the wedding photographer, Darren Hatt said.
What made the moment truly impressive was the fact that the groom didn’t care about anything, not even his wedding suit and just jumped in to save the day. That’s absolutely heroic.
“That’s Clay, like that’s Clay to me. It’s something he would just instinctively do,” his wife said.
The sweet moment was shared on social media and appreciation for the groom came pouring in.
