While restocking household staples is one of the most essential parts of ensuring a quality life, it is also a struggle for a lot of families to afford monthly grocery. One stranger knew how hard parents worked to put food on the table and showed them that ‘God is good’ with a huge surprise.
An anonymous lady spoke to the manager of Lin’s Fresh Market in St. George, Utah and took permission to pay for people’s grocery. She stood at the checkout stand and one after one offered to pay for strangers grocery. She didn’t even give anyone a chance to refuse or ask any questions. She gave her card to the cashier and simply told shoppers, “Let me get that for you. God is good.” This shows how genuine her act of kindness was.
She didn’t ask people if they wanted her to pay, she just paid.
Buyers were short of words and couldn’t believe that a stranger was actually paying for their grocery. Some shoppers were so overwhelmed by the surprise that they shed a few tears standing at the counter.
People thought that it was the store manager who was taking care of the bill, and until the end, the kind donor didn’t reveal her identity.
She’s a real hero. No one knows her name. We just know her for her good deed. God is good!
