Amit Patel of UK goes through everyday struggles of life as he comes across selfish and inconsiderate people every single day. A recent train incident left him in tears and the man decided to share his story on social media.
“People can be so selfish, they pretend they can’t see or hear when I ask if there’s a seat available”, he wrote. “It’s so humiliating when I struggle to find something to hold onto & keep safe at the same time, this is when you’ll see a tear running down my face. Life is difficult enough.”
You see, Patel is blind and his guide dog Kika helps him get around town on a daily basis.
‘It’s so humiliating when I struggle to find something to hold onto and keep Kika safe at the same time, this is when you’ll see a tear running down my face.
The former A&E doctor lost his sight 5 years ago after he was diagnosed with keratoconus.
Since then, Kika has been his guardian angel, and takes care of him everyday.
“I was very upset yesterday as the floor on the train was slippery, Kika kept sliding and she was obviously distressed,” he wrote.
“She looks after me everyday, and I felt useless. Nobody moved, not one person.”
He shared that he was tired of the public’s bad behaviour, so he installed a small camera on Kika’s back to record how they are treated by the public everyday.
Patel’s wife watches the video end of the day everyday and then shares the duo’s experience on social media.
