Hundreds of protesters rallied outside the Edmonton Remand Centre on Feb. twenty to show their support with regard to pastor James Coates, who have remained in custody right after being charged with splitting Alberta’s COVID-19 guidelines and refusing to conform to his conditions of discharge.

The protestors advised people to join them in “standing just for religious and charter freedoms. ”

I understand other pastors feel the same manner, that want to stand along with him and support your pet and our brothers and sisters on GraceLife Church. ”

“We understand the risks of COVID-19 but all of us also understand the dangers associated with policies that seek to lessen the spread of the pathogen, ” Stephens said within a declaration on Weekend.

“We aren’t against all rules plus health measures. However , all of us cannot comply with rules which make what we essentially do as being a church impossible, ” this individual continued. “And to be apparent, it is the Jesus Christ, not really civil government, that describes what is essential for the collected church. ”
